For Christmas I have decided I want to get a happy planner instead. So I thought I would let people know what one is in case they don't already know. (Some of the pictures in this post aren't my own. There will be information at the end of this post to where I got them)
The happy planner is a disc bound planner with pages punched in a way so they can easily be removed and put back in. It comes with eighteen months worth of monthly and weekly spreads dated July 2015 through December 2016. They also came in a variety of different covers. Here a few of them.
While the basic layout of the inside and calendar pages are the same in each planner, the decorative elements, fonts and colour schemes vary. You can check out the happy planner website here for videos showing the different designs or to order from their shop.
This planner system has nine discs with a cut out heart in centre of them. The inside includes both monthly and weekly calendars. The monthly are tabbed with reinforced laminated labels for easy access. Each tab coordinates with the months colour.
The month on two pages has no decoration apart from that months colour scheme. The weekends are shaded and there is a notes section down the left hand side.
The week on two pages spreads sit in between the months. These have a vertical layout consisting of three boxes per day named 'Morning', 'Afternoon' and 'Evening'. Each day has the same amount of same including the weekends which are shaded. There is a month at a glance in the top left hand corner then a notes section underneath that. At the bottom of the weekly pages there is a quote or a decorative pattern.
The only other pages in this planner are a cover page at the front, a notes page at the back and a next month planning page at the end of each month. The month planning pages have five boxes that you can fill in.
- Birthdays for the month
- Special events for the month
- Important dates for the month
- That months goals
- Don't forgot
You can purchase odd-ons or accessories because this planner is disc bound it is very customisable like any Filofax or ring bound planner. Here's a few things you can add to it or use to decorate.
I liked the look of the Erin Condren planner but for me living in the UK I just found it a bit pricey to get one and my one problem with it was that you can't remove the pages. Then I saw some youtube reviews on these and I was won over. I like how you can take the pages out to decorate them then just put them back in. Really can't wait to get this planner for Christmas will be a nice change from a Filofax.
Thanks for reading after Christmas I will post my first month/week spread and any extras I might add to it. If you have any questions about the happy feel free to ask.
